What happens when two creatives finally get out of lockdown?
Romance is born.
We’re still not entirely sure how long we played for on this day, but we do know of two things. We capitalised on a winter’s day of sunshine, and then played in the dark with artificial lighting to discover something new. Creativity absolutely flourishes when things don’t go to plan.
If we’ve ever spoken about colour, you’ll know I have a phase of hating a certain colour, and then the moment I speak those words, I fall in love with this very colour. Strange, I know. In this season, it was purple. So naturally, this was the colour that drove the majority of the colour palette, and then I tied it with romantic, seductive reds.
Victoria isn’t known as the sunshine state, for a that very specific reason. The days of sunshine are quite limited, and then add in winter, the days are even shorter and the chance of sunshine diminishes greatly. But that didn’t stop us showing up and just seeing what would happen. We managed to get some gorgeous soft light on this particular over cast day, and when the panic set in that we only had a little light left, we improvised. Yes, Brooke suggested I turn the flash light on my phone, and that’s when it happened. We had a light and shadow party, and it was the best thing ever.
