What happens when two creatives leap at the opportunity to play, and they’ve found a kindred soul willing to engage? This whimsical, fem and dreamy editorial shoot…

Ever since this shoot, it seems to have brought out a theme for us in this season – taking something we dislike, and recreating it in a new way that we love! In this case, it was the humble agapanthus, you know the ones, they’re blue or white and basically in every garden! Well we deconstructed this bloom by using the flowers in a hair piece and using the flowerless stems in our ‘dirt’ installation. We combined these bald agapanthus with wild queen anne’s lace that picked on the side of the road. Yes! That’s right, we picked all these items from the road and mum’s garden (thanks mum)! While Brooke brought her piles of luxurious linens, silks and tulle – we hung them up in a hot house and voila!

Working with Brooke is always so much fun for us! She is the most welcoming, loving, open and kind soul. When we show up we never hold onto expectations, and this we think is the recipe for creative magic! We even fulfilled a dream of our own when Val courageously agreed to wearing the flower bralette – this was such an exciting moment for us, but enough from us, we suggest you take a look below!
